Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) - Lynn, Massachusetts

Ideal candidates will be compassionate, adaptable, and skilled in tailoring their teaching approach to the unique needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. You’ll collaborate closely with staff, families, and related service professionals to encourage each student’s growth. The number of students on your caseload will be determined based on enrollment and student needs.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Georgia ASL Interpreter credential or the ability to obtain one
- Previous experience working as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing preferred
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with a range of assistive technology and accommodations in educational settings
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instructional services to students individually or in small groups
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Facilitate effective communication between students, peers, and staff
- Adapt curriculum to ensure accessibility and inclusivity
- Collaborate with general education teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other related service providers
- Monitor and report student progress, maintaining accurate records
