Qualifications/Experience:
- Valid GA ASL Interpreter certification required
- Previous experience teaching or supporting deaf/hard-of-hearing students preferred
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of age groups, from kindergarten to high school
- Flexibility to adapt to individualized education plans and varying caseload sizes
Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction and support tailored for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, staff, and families to implement effective educational strategies
- Develop, monitor, and adjust Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth
- Track student progress and contribute to team meetings as needed
