California Remote Deaf Education Teacher

What You'll Do
Provide online instruction tailored to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
Adapt lessons to meet diverse learning styles and communication preferences.
Support speech, language, auditory, social, and academic development.
Deliver instruction using ASL, Total Communication, auditory-verbal methods, or other appropriate communication systems.
Develop and manage IEPs.
Conduct student assessments and monitor progress.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, administrators, and parents.
Attend virtual IEP meetings and consultation sessions.
Maintain compliance with California and federal special education regulations.
Utilize educational technology and virtual teaching platforms to maximize student engagement.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education or related field.
California DHH Teaching Credential.
School-based experience with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
Strong IEP knowledge.
Experience with virtual instruction preferred.
ASL skills preferred.
Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
