Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students (state-specific credentials preferred)
- Demonstrated experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Strong knowledge of instructional strategies, assistive technology, and accommodations related to hearing impairments
- Proficiency in sign language and alternative communication methods
- Collaborative approach, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, parents, and specialists
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address each student’s unique goals and needs
- Deliver direct instruction to students, adapting curriculum materials as needed for effective accessibility
