In this role, you’ll earn between $40 and $50 per hour, recognizing your valuable expertise and dedication.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing or comparable credentials
- Experience supporting children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, especially within an elementary school setting
- Proficiency with assistive listening devices, communication support strategies, and IEP processes
- Strong collaboration skills to work with teachers, families, and specialists
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored support and interventions to K-5 students, fostering access to the curriculum
- Serve as a resource for staff and families to support inclusive education practices
- Implement and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring student goals are met
- Adapt classroom materials and instructional strategies to meet diverse communication needs
- Provide ongoing advocacy and strategies for self-advocacy to students
- Maintain accurate documentation of services and progress
