What you'll bring:
- Experience as a Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist in school settings
- Proficiency supporting students with hearing challenges, preferably in elementary grades
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with teachers, families, and school staff
- A commitment to fostering inclusive and accessible learning environments
- Licensure or certification as required by state and local guidelines
In this role, you'll:
- Provide direct support, assessment, and intervention to students who are deaf or hard of hearing (K-5)
- Develop and implement individualized education plans in collaboration with the team
- Adapt curriculum and materials to meet students' communication needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and related service providers to ensure consistency in support strategies
- Serve as an advocate and resource for students and their families throughout the contract period
- Track progress and maintain clear documentation in accordance with school and regulatory standards
