What you'll bring:

  • Experience as a Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist in school settings
  • Proficiency supporting students with hearing challenges, preferably in elementary grades
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with teachers, families, and school staff
  • A commitment to fostering inclusive and accessible learning environments
  • Licensure or certification as required by state and local guidelines

In this role, you'll:

  • Provide direct support, assessment, and intervention to students who are deaf or hard of hearing (K-5)
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans in collaboration with the team
  • Adapt curriculum and materials to meet students' communication needs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and related service providers to ensure consistency in support strategies
  • Serve as an advocate and resource for students and their families throughout the contract period
  • Track progress and maintain clear documentation in accordance with school and regulatory standards
