Your expertise will be valued as you:

  • Provide direct and consultative services for students with hearing needs in grades K-5
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Support students in both academic and social settings to foster inclusivity and communication skills
  • Conduct ongoing assessments and maintain clear documentation of student progress
  • Offer staff training and resources on hearing support strategies and assistive technologies
  • Engage in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions

What you bring:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist (or closely related field)
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly those with hearing differences
  • Strong understanding of educational accommodations and support strategies for DHH students
  • Proficiency with hearing assistive technology and communication modalities such as ASL, cued speech, or oral/aural strategies
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
