An opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing specializing in telehealth services. This contract position supports a high school student enrolled in an Early College Program, providing targeted instruction and support remotely.
Location: Herndon, KY
Duration: Immediate start through May 26, 2027
Schedule: Approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour per week, Tuesdays
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialized telehealth instruction tailored to the needs of a high school student with hearing impairment
- Collaborating remotely with district personnel to ensure effective service delivery
- Monitoring progress and adapting instructional strategies to support student success
- Maintaining compliance with district policies and documentation requirements
Qualifications and experience preferred:
- Valid Teacher of the Deaf License required
- Experience working with deaf or hard of hearing students in a school setting
- Demonstrated ability to provide telehealth instruction effectively
- Strong communication skills for remote collaboration
Additional details:
- Supervision will be provided by the district
- Panel interview conducted remotely; scheduling available with notice
- Onboarding requires fingerprinting and contract completion prior to start
- Decisions are typically made within 24 hours after interview
