Remote Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | Kentucky
A teaching opportunity is available for a licensed Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing to provide telehealth services in support of students within the educational setting. This contract position requires providing specialized instruction remotely to address the needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
Location: Hopkinsville, KY
Duration: Immediate start through May 26, 2027
Schedule: Approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour per week
Assignment: One school
Primary responsibilities include:
- Delivering telehealth services focused on language, communication, and academic instruction tailored to Deaf / Hard of Hearing students
- Collaborating with school personnel to support Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Monitoring student progress and adapting instruction as needed
- Ensuring compliance with educational standards and licensure requirements
Qualifications:
- Valid Teacher of the Deaf license
- Experience teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, preferably in telehealth or virtual environments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently within a remote model
Additional details:
- Supervision will be provided by the district
- Contract must be signed prior to the start date
- Fingerprinting and background checks are required before onboarding
