Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) - Grand Prairie, Texas

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

- Proficient in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies for diverse learners.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Commitment to supporting individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborative team approaches.
Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and implementing individualized, evidence-based instructional strategies tailored to students with hearing loss.
- Collaborating with general education teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other support staff to ensure comprehensive student support.
- Facilitating communication using ASL or other preferred methods, as appropriate to each student.
- Assessing student progress, documenting data, and adjusting instruction to optimize learning outcomes.
- Actively participating in IEP meetings and contributing to the design and review of educational plans.
- Providing consultative support to staff and families, promoting awareness, and fostering a supportive school environment for all learners.
