State Requirements – Louisiana
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field
Valid Louisiana teaching certification with Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement
Experience in school-based settings preferred
Typical Job Duties
Deliver specialized instruction for students with hearing impairments
Modify lesson plans and instructional materials
Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
Assist with communication strategies and accommodations
Monitor and document student progress
