Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Opening – 26/27 School Year
Details:
Remote or Onsite Position
Full-Time or Part-Time based on district needs
K-12 Caseload
Provide specialized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Support students' academic, communication, and social-emotional development
Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet individual student needs
Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Work closely with teachers, staff, parents, and administration
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Documentation and more
Education and Certification
Appropriate state Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing certification or licensure
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field
Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred
New graduates are encouraged to apply
ASL proficiency or experience preferred, depending on district needs
Virtual/online teaching experience preferred
