Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Current certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
- Experience providing both direct instruction and consultative support.
- Strong communication skills with students, educators, and families.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to individual student needs.
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct educational services to students with hearing loss based on individualized needs:
- Student #1: Two 30-minute direct sessions per six-day cycle; one 30-minute consultation per month.
- Student #2: Ten 30-minute direct sessions per quarter; one 30-minute consultation session per quarter.
- Student #3: Daily 40-minute direct service sessions; monthly 30-minute consultation.
- Student #4: Two 60-minute direct service sessions daily.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to develop and implement effective instructional techniques.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to support academic and social growth.
- Participate in meetings, IEP processes, and maintain ongoing communication with families and school teams.
