Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
- Background in educational settings, specifically working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Skilled in adapting curriculum and communication methods to suit individual student needs.
- Strong consultation and collaboration abilities with educators, families, and related professionals.
- Commitment to promoting inclusion and self-advocacy skills for students.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support, tailored per student, including:
- Student 1: 2x30 min sessions per 6-day cycle, plus 1x30 min consult monthly.
- Student 2: 10x30 min sessions per quarter, plus 1x30 min consult quarterly.
- Student 3: 1x40 min session daily, plus 1x30 min consult monthly.
- Student 4: 2x60 min sessions daily.
- Offer professional consultation to teachers and staff, ensuring appropriate accommodations and best practices for each student.
- Track student progress, develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and maintain detailed records.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic student development.
- Assist in promoting a positive, inclusive atmosphere within the educational setting.
