Qualifications & Experience
- Active Tennessee Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH) license required
- Previous school-based experience strongly preferred, but those with 0-2 years are encouraged to apply
- Proficient in adapting instructional materials for students with varying degrees of hearing loss
- Comfortable navigating virtual instruction platforms
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and students
Responsibilities
- Provide district-wide remote instruction and support to students with hearing impairments
- Develop, implement, and supervise Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
- Consult and collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and parents to maximize student outcomes
- Deliver direct and indirect services to promote student learning, language development, and self-advocacy
- Track progress through comprehensive documentation and maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines
