Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with hearing loss
- Utilize specialized teaching strategies and assistive technologies to enhance learning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including audiologists, speech therapists, and classroom teachers
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Provide support and training to families concerning communication and educational strategies
Qualifications:
- Licensed or certified Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with children who have hearing impairments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with American Sign Language (ASL) and auditory-verbal therapy techniques preferred
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs
