Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Belmont, NC

Qualifications:
- North Carolina Special Education Certification - Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students with hearing impairments
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Knowledge of current best practices in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to students with hearing impairments in multiple schools as an itinerant teacher
- Adapt curriculum, provide classroom strategies, and collaborate with general education teachers to promote inclusion
- Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records to support IEP goals
- Consult with families, staff, and other service providers to ensure comprehensive student support
- Stay current with educational trends and technologies that benefit students with hearing loss
