What We’re Looking For:
- Active North Carolina Special Education Certification with endorsement for Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students with varying degrees of hearing loss
- Familiarity with itinerant service models and a willingness to travel between sites as needed
- Solid understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organization skills
Position Highlights:
- Contract begins August 4, 2026 and runs through the end of the academic year (May 26, 2027)
- Full-time role: At least 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Support and instruct K-12 students in multiple schools as part of an itinerant caseload
- Develop, implement, and monitor educational strategies and goals tailored to individual student needs
- Work closely with general education teachers, speech pathologists, and other specialists to foster inclusive educational settings
