What We’re Looking For:

  • Active North Carolina Special Education Certification with endorsement for Deaf and Hard of Hearing
  • Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students with varying degrees of hearing loss
  • Familiarity with itinerant service models and a willingness to travel between sites as needed
  • Solid understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and organization skills

Position Highlights:

  • Contract begins August 4, 2026 and runs through the end of the academic year (May 26, 2027)
  • Full-time role: At least 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • Support and instruct K-12 students in multiple schools as part of an itinerant caseload
  • Develop, implement, and monitor educational strategies and goals tailored to individual student needs
  • Work closely with general education teachers, speech pathologists, and other specialists to foster inclusive educational settings
