Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina Special Education Certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Background teaching students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing in K-12 settings
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel between school locations as required in an itinerant role
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and support to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students across multiple grade levels and campus locations
- Collaborate with general education staff, interpreters, and other service providers to meet individual student needs
- Develop and modify Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Consult with families on student progress and instructional strategies
- Advocate for appropriate accommodations and resources for students
