Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Burnsville, MN

Qualifications:
- Certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), such as RID-NIC or NAD IV/V, OR a score of 4.0+ on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) plus passing the EIPA written exam
- Proven skills in American Sign Language and English interpretation in an educational environment
- Experience supporting students across grade levels, K-12, is highly desired
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and supporting student dignity
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct interpretation between ASL and spoken English in classroom and school activities
- Support Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in understanding curriculum and participating fully in class
- Collaborate with teachers to adapt instructional materials for accessibility
- Maintain accurate records, as needed, for reporting and compliance
- Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom experience
