As a contract educator serving K-12 students, you’ll help shape diverse learning experiences across dedicated hubs for Pre-K through Elementary, with an exciting expansion into Middle School. This full-time, onsite position is set for the 2026–2027 academic year and will allow you to make meaningful differences in students’ lives every day.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Tennessee Department of Education certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing instruction
- Experience teaching or supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in school settings
- Completion of Tennessee fingerprinting and background check (required prior to start)
- Strong consultative and communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and staff
- Flexibility to adapt to varying caseloads and multiple school sites as needed
- Passion for supporting inclusive, accessible education for all learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver consultative and direct services to K–12 students as determined by their individual needs
- Navigate multiple school sites, collaborating with DHH teams in district “hub” settings
- Support and advise classroom staff, families, and stakeholders on best practices in Deaf education
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) focused on student success
- Maintain timely documentation and compliance with district and state regulations
