What You’ll Bring:
- Valid Arizona Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
- Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Card
- Previous experience working in school settings (preferred, but not required)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
- Passion for fostering an inclusive learning environment for students with hearing differences
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction tailored to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, adapting materials as needed
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and support staff to ensure comprehensive educational access
- Utilize data to inform instruction and report on student progress
- Serve as a resource for staff and families on DHH best practices and assistive technology
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to goal setting, and maintain accurate documentation
