Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Arizona Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing (DHH) Certification is required
- Active Arizona IVP Fingerprint Card
- Prior school-based experience is highly preferred
- Strong communication, advocacy, and instructional skills
- Comfortable collaborating with general education and special education staff
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instructional services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across multiple grade levels
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and modify curriculum as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, families, and related service providers
- Conduct assessments and monitor progress toward educational goals
- Offer guidance and education on Deaf culture, communication modes, and technology supports
- Support general classroom teachers with strategies to foster inclusive learning environments
