Key Qualifications:
- Current Arizona Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing (DHH) Certification
- Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Card
- Experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong communication and organization skills, with a passion for helping students access their fullest potential
- Ability to adapt instruction and materials for diverse learning needs within the DHH population
Responsibilities include:
- Providing in-class and pull-out instruction tailored to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Consulting with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure appropriate accommodations and supports are in place
- Conducting assessments and progress monitoring to guide instruction and support Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
- Creating an accessible environment that fosters social and academic growth
- Participating in IEP meetings and collaborating in the creation of learning goals
