Key Skills & Qualifications
- State licensure/certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (or eligibility pending)
- Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents with hearing impairments
- Proficiency in IEP development, case management, and student progress monitoring
- Experience supporting assistive technology for hearing accessibility
- Excellent organizational skills to manage a large, multi-building caseload
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with educators, families, and ancillary support teams
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide consultative and direct instructional support for a caseload of 48 students across 25 buildings
- Develop and implement IEPs, adapting instruction to meet individual student needs
- Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and progress monitoring
- Support the use and integration of assistive listening devices and other hearing technologies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, attending meetings and sharing expertise
- Engage with students predominantly through monthly or quarterly consultation, with some requiring more frequent direct instruction
