The schedule is part-time, approximately 20 hours per week, beginning July 27th, 2026, and concluding May 25th, 2027.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in Special Education – Deaf Education (P–12), or Special Education General Curriculum (P–12) with a Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement.
  • Experience or strong interest in teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum to varied learning needs.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, with the capability to collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families.
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or willingness to learn and use assistive communication strategies.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, accommodating, and supportive classroom environment.

Your Role:

  • Deliver direct instruction to students across multiple locations, adapting teaching strategies to individual student needs.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with school teams and families.
  • Serve as a resource for staff regarding best practices for deaf and hard of hearing inclusion.
  • Utilize appropriate technology and resources to enhance learning experiences.
