Key Qualifications:
- Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in Special Education – Deaf Education (P–12), or Special Education General Curriculum (P–12) with a Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement.
- Experience or strong interest in teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum to varied learning needs.
- Exceptional communication abilities, with the capability to collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or willingness to learn and use assistive communication strategies.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, accommodating, and supportive classroom environment.
Your Role:
- Deliver direct instruction to students across multiple locations, adapting teaching strategies to individual student needs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with school teams and families.
