Seeking an experienced Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing to support students in a school setting located in Endicott, NY. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, speech therapists, and other educational professionals
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary
- Advocate for resources and assistive technologies to enhance learning experiences
- Communicate regularly with students’ families about progress and support strategies
Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with students with hearing impairments in educational settings
- Strong knowledge of educational strategies, communication methods, and assistive technology for the deaf/hard of hearing
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to relocate to Endicott, NY, and travel as required
