What You’ll Bring:
- State certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education or documented eligibility
- Proven experience or training working with students across K-12 populations
- Strong knowledge of best practices for inclusive education, IEP development, and assistive technology
- Ability to develop individualized learning plans and adapt instructional methods
- Skilled in fostering positive relationships with students, families, and classroom teams
- Communicative competency in sign language and other communication modes relevant to the DHH population
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to K-12 students with hearing loss in an onsite educational environment
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and families to ensure student needs are met
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, documenting student goals and progress
- Serve as a resource on hearing loss and accessibility, offering guidance on accommodations and tools
