Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Florence, KY

Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Valid teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (state-specific licensure required)
- Previous experience in an educational setting supporting students with hearing loss
- Proficient in various communication modes, including ASL and/or spoken language strategies
- Strong collaboration, communication, and advocacy skills
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and implementing accommodations
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing in accordance with IEP goals
- Modify curriculum and create accessible learning materials tailored to individual student needs
- Support classroom teachers through consultation, in-service training, and resource sharing
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress; adjust strategies as necessary
- Communicate regularly with families to ensure student success
