Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Stuart, FL

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
- Experience in educational settings working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Strong understanding of diverse communication methods including sign language and assistive technology
- Ability to adapt instruction and materials to suit varying student needs
- Excellent organizational skills to effectively manage an itinerant schedule and support another teacher’s diverse caseload
- Collaborative approach and enthusiasm for working with multidisciplinary teams
- Comfortable facilitating communication with families, classroom teachers, and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative support to students with hearing impairments alongside another DHH teacher
- Develop and modify instructional materials to support individual educational plans (IEPs)
- Travel to designated campuses to ensure consistent educational support
- Serve as a resource for general education teachers, helping them implement appropriate strategies and accommodations
- Track student progress and contribute to IEP meetings
- Foster a supportive, inclusive environment for all students
