Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state certification and credentials as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Proven experience supporting students with hearing loss in educational settings
- Knowledge of assistive technology, visual communication strategies, and IEP development
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration abilities
- Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learning needs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to deaf and hard of hearing students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and monitor progress
- Consult with general education teachers to ensure accommodations and modifications
- Foster a culture of inclusion and accessibility in all school activities
- Monitor and support the use of technology and communication devices
- Engage families in the educational process through regular updates and resources
- Maintain clear records and comply with documentation requirements
