Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Rock River, WY

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) for the appropriate grade levels
- Understanding of deaf culture and fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred
- Experience creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to accommodate diverse student learning needs
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting is highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with hearing differences
- Collaborate with general education teachers, interpreters, and school staff for student success
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the writing and execution of these plans
- Provide guidance to parents and caregivers on supporting learning at home
- Stay current with best practices and communicate any necessary accommodations
