Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Indiana DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) license
- Experience working with K-12 students in educational settings
- Comprehensive understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Skilled in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to differentiate for students with hearing loss
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to connect with students, staff, and families
- Flexible, with a collaborative approach and genuine dedication to student growth
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver direct and consultative services to K-12 students identified as Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Develop and implement plans and strategies to support students’ participation in the general education classroom
- Collaborate closely with general and special educators to provide accommodations and modifications
- Advocate for students’ needs and help facilitate communication among teams, families, and related service providers
- Monitor progress, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Offer guidance and resources for staff and families regarding hearing loss, assistive technology, and classroom strategies
This full-time contract position begins November 2, 2026, and continues through June 7, 2027. You’ll work a 35-hour weekly schedule in a supportive school district near Granger, Indiana, with site assignments to be determined.
