Qualifications & Experience:
- Active and valid teaching license required
- Certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
- Demonstrated success teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing strongly preferred
- Knowledge of best practices in auditory and/or sign language instruction
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to maintain clear and accurate student records and reports
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instructional support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across multiple schools
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Consult and collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
- Facilitate access to technology, adaptive resources, and assistive devices
- Engage with families to support student learning and progress
- Travel between assigned schools as needed
