Key Qualifications:
- Valid NC Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) teaching license required
- Solid background teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a school setting

- Experience developing and adapting individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Ability to cultivate positive relationships with students, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, ensuring lessons meet individual learning and accessibility needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to implement IEPs and accommodations
- Monitor student progress, adjusting instructional techniques as needed
- Advocate for student needs, both academically and socially, within the school community
- Utilize assistive technology and communication strategies to enhance student participation and learning
- Maintain accurate records and complete necessary documentation
