Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Louisiana Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) license
- Strong background in teaching students with hearing loss and utilizing appropriate communication strategies
- Experience with developing and adapting instructional materials to meet individual student needs
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills
- Flexibility in addressing case management responsibilities (caseload details to be determined)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in mainstream and/or specialized classroom settings
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with families and school teams
- Implement accommodations and modifications to promote student success
- Advocate for accessible learning environments and collaborate with staff to ensure best practices are followed
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed
