Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Indianapolis, Indiana

Qualifications:
- Valid state teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working with K-12 students is preferred
- Knowledge of various communication modalities (ASL, lip reading, auditory-oral)
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
- Dedication to ongoing professional development
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with hearing differences
- Collaborate with general and special education teachers to adapt curriculum
- Assess students’ progress and communicate regularly with families and school staff
- Advocate for student accessibility and inclusion across educational environments
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise on hearing-related needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and student records
