Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and active Washington State teaching license for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
  • Previous classroom experience teaching DHH students is highly valued
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with students, families, and staff
  • Familiarity with IEP processes, progress monitoring, and adaptive instructional strategies
  • Flexibility and adaptability for diverse student needs and school environments

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Providing direct instruction to students with hearing loss, incorporating best practices and differentiated approaches
  • Designing and implementing IEPs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Supporting mainstream classroom teachers with accommodations, modifications, and communication strategies
  • Maintaining regular communication with families, fostering inclusive educational partnerships
  • Utilizing technology and resources to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to monitor progress and identify services that set students up for success
