Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Washington State teaching license for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
- Previous classroom experience teaching DHH students is highly valued
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with students, families, and staff
- Familiarity with IEP processes, progress monitoring, and adaptive instructional strategies
- Flexibility and adaptability for diverse student needs and school environments
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Providing direct instruction to students with hearing loss, incorporating best practices and differentiated approaches
- Designing and implementing IEPs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
- Supporting mainstream classroom teachers with accommodations, modifications, and communication strategies
- Maintaining regular communication with families, fostering inclusive educational partnerships
- Utilizing technology and resources to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to monitor progress and identify services that set students up for success
