Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Lincoln, NE

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification with a specialization as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience with early childhood caseloads (birth to five years preferred)
- Strong understanding of language development and individualized educational strategies for deaf/hard of hearing students
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to onsite instruction and engagement with both students and families
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instructional services and adapt lessons to meet the needs of early childhood students with hearing loss
- Develop, implement, and assess Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to facilitate inclusive learning environments and student success
- Engage families by offering resources, guidance, and support related to hearing loss and language development
- Track and report student progress, adjusting educational approaches as needed
