DHH Teacher | Loveland, Ohio

Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
- Experience teaching or working with children in grades K-4.
- Strong grasp of best practices in deaf education and auditory/oral or total communication approaches.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support for students with hearing loss, adapting materials and methods as needed.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies to maximize learning outcomes.
- Educate and collaborate with classroom teachers regarding accommodation needs and inclusive classroom practices.
- Consult with families, ensuring they are informed and involved in supporting each child’s development.
- Maintain accurate records, including IEP documentation and progress notes, in compliance with requirements.
- Serve as an advocate for students, promoting access and equal participation in all classroom activities.
