What You’ll Do:

  • Provide direct and consultative services for K-4th grade students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Develop and implement individual education plans in partnership with IEP teams.
  • Support teachers in modifying and adapting curriculum to meet students’ needs.
  • Foster a positive and accessible classroom environment using best practices in deaf education.
  • Monitor progress and regularly communicate findings to school staff and families.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with educational requirements.
  • Commit to service delivery of 180 minutes per month, offering consistent and reliable support.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
  • Experience supporting elementary-aged students in a school environment.
  • Strong understanding of language development, auditory/visual learning strategies, and communication modalities (e.g., ASL, total communication).
  • Excellent collaboration, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt services to a variety of learning needs and settings.
