Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Luling, LA

In this role, you'll collaborate closely with educators, staff, and families to create inclusive and effective learning experiences. Your specialized skills and commitment will help ensure that students receive the support they need to achieve their academic and social goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid SPED Certification with DHH Endorsement (required)
- Experience teaching or supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Knowledge of instructional strategies for DHH learners
- Ability to adapt to varying school settings and caseload needs
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and/or consultative services to middle school students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Travel between multiple school campuses as an itinerant provider
- Partner with general and special education teachers to modify curriculum and ensure accessibility
- Advise staff and families on accommodations and technologies that enhance student participation
- Maintain accurate progress documentation and contribute to IEP development and implementation
- Foster self-advocacy skills and independence in students
