Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Certification with DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) Endorsement
  • Previous experience working in school settings, preferably with middle school students
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt instruction to a variety of learning environments and individual student needs
  • Organizational skills to manage an itinerant schedule across multiple locations
  • Knowledge of current best practices for Deaf/Hard of Hearing education

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide both consultative and direct instructional services to students with hearing loss
  • Support and guide classroom teachers, ensuring instructional materials and environments are accessible
  • Collaborate with IEP teams, interpreting data and participating actively in student planning
  • Advocate for necessary accommodations and modifications to promote student success
  • Travel between assigned middle schools to meet student needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and case management records
