What You’ll Need:

  • Active Washington State Teaching Certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH)
  • WA ESA credential
  • Proven experience teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ideally across multiple ages or grade levels (PreK-8 preferred)
  • Strong skills using and integrating assistive technology for hearing and communication
  • Ability to develop and adapt curriculum to support each student’s unique needs
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and student advocacy skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement engaging lessons focused on language, literacy, and communication skill development
  • Collaborate with mainstream teachers and support staff to coordinate inclusive opportunities
  • Monitor student progress and adapt instruction as needed
  • Utilize state-of-the-art amplification technology to support student access and learning
  • Foster a positive, encouraging classroom environment
