Inspire and support student growth by serving as a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for a rewarding, full-time contract position beginning August 10, 2026, and continuing through the school year. Two passionate educators are needed: one for a life skills classroom supporting 8-10 students and another whose caseload details will be determined but will have a crucial role in responding to all campus behavior incidents. Both roles are fully onsite and offer the opportunity to make a significant difference in the school community.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience teaching and adapting instruction for students with hearing differences
- Proficiency in sign language and other communication modalities preferred
- Strong ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to fostering academic and social success
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans tailored to students’ unique needs
- Deliver engaging instruction in a life skills or behavior support setting
- Work closely with other educators to coordinate support services and promote a positive, inclusive classroom culture
- Communicate regularly with families and staff regarding student progress
- Respond skillfully and promptly to behavior incidents as needed
