A full-time position is available for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to serve students from PreK through 12th grade. This role involves providing general Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) educational support and services. Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing across a range of grade levels (PreK-12)
- Strong communication skills tailored to the needs of DHH students
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Knowledge of assistive technology and other resources to support DHH students
- Collaborative approach to working with teachers, families, and related service providers
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to DHH students in accordance with educational standards and IEPs
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Facilitate communication between students, families, and school personnel
- Utilize appropriate technology and resources to enhance student learning
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
