Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Florida DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) teaching license required
- Proven experience teaching or supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Strong ability to develop, adapt, and implement individualized educational plans
- Familiarity with current assistive technology and communication strategies
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Comfort in working across K-12 grade levels
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver effective instruction tailored to students with varying degrees of hearing loss
- Use visual and auditory strategies and tools to enhance access to the curriculum
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, school staff, and families to coordinate services
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and inform instructional planning
- Advocate for students and facilitate their participation in all aspects of school life
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and communication documentation
