Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) | Surprise, Arizona

You'll work in schools near the Phoenix and Surprise, AZ area, contributing your expertise to help empower students and foster growth in academic and social arenas.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona teaching certification with a Hearing Impaired endorsement (must be active)
- Experience teaching students with a variety of needs, from significant disabilities to advanced learners
- Strong background in the full scope of DHH services, including tailoring instruction, accommodations, and modifications
- Confidence navigating team meetings, managing IEPs, conducting assessments, and tracking progress toward goals
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites as part of an itinerant schedule
What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct instruction and specialized support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Collaborate with general and special education staff to plan, implement, and review IEPs
- Participate in team meetings, assessments, and service coordination
- Track student progress toward goals and maintain timely documentation
- Adapt your day as needed based on assigned campuses (flexible hours within a typical 8am-4pm window)
- Serve a weekly schedule of 40 hours with established contract start and end dates
Enjoy hourly pay between $30-$37, based on experience, with mileage reimbursement when traveling between school locations in the same day.
