Step into a rewarding role supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across multiple grade levels. This contract-based opportunity places you in a dynamic educational environment, assisting learners from early childhood through high school. You’ll collaborate with educators districtwide, ensuring students receive the specialized support they deserve throughout the academic year.

What you’ll bring:

  • Master’s level degree in Education for Teaching and Deaf Students
  • Current State Teaching Certification in Deaf Education
  • Experience teaching or working with students with hearing differences in K-12 settings
  • Ability to support a range of ages and educational needs, from early childhood through high school
  • Familiarity with developing and adapting Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Willingness to collaborate across various school teams and grade levels
  • Strong communication skills, initiative, and adaptability

Your responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct instruction and support to students K-12 who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Partnering with classroom teachers and support staff to deliver inclusive educational experiences
  • Assisting with auditory, language, and communication skill development across the district
  • Monitoring student progress and participating in IEP processes
  • Serving as a resource for best practices in Deaf Education
  • Traveling between school sites as needed to support students and staff

Compensation for this position ranges from $36 to $40+ per hour, based on experience. Expect a consistent schedule of 30+ hours per week, Monday through Friday, starting as soon as possible and extending through the end of the school year.
