What you’ll bring:
- Master’s level degree in Education for Teaching and Deaf Students
- Current State Teaching Certification in Deaf Education
- Experience teaching or working with students with hearing differences in K-12 settings
- Ability to support a range of ages and educational needs, from early childhood through high school
- Familiarity with developing and adapting Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Willingness to collaborate across various school teams and grade levels
- Strong communication skills, initiative, and adaptability
Your responsibilities include:
- Providing direct instruction and support to students K-12 who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Partnering with classroom teachers and support staff to deliver inclusive educational experiences
- Assisting with auditory, language, and communication skill development across the district
- Monitoring student progress and participating in IEP processes
- Serving as a resource for best practices in Deaf Education
- Traveling between school sites as needed to support students and staff
Compensation for this position ranges from $36 to $40+ per hour, based on experience. Expect a consistent schedule of 30+ hours per week, Monday through Friday, starting as soon as possible and extending through the end of the school year.
