Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid Standard Professional Certificate in teaching
- Deaf/Hard of Hearing (K-12) Endorsement required
- IVP Fingerprint Card (current and valid)
- Previous experience teaching students who are deaf and/or hard of hearing strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and assistive technologies
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
- Ability to develop and adapt Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized and group instruction for students with hearing impairments
- Evaluate student progress and track outcomes using data-driven strategies
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure inclusive learning environments
- Provide guidance and resources for classroom accommodations and accessibility
- Participate in meetings, professional development, and required trainings
- Maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
