Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) | Glendale, Arizona

Key Qualifications:
- Valid Standard Professional Certificate required
- Completed Deaf/Hard of Hearing (K-12) Endorsement
- IVP Fingerprint Card (active)
- Previous experience supporting Deaf or Hard of Hearing students preferred
- Strong knowledge of specialized instructional strategies and assistive technologies
- Collaborative, communicative approach with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education programs for students with hearing impairments
- Utilize assessment data and student progress to adapt teaching methods
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student achievement
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff, ensuring alignment of services
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student goals, progress, and strategies for success
- Encourage self-advocacy and independent learning among students
